Merridale Primary School –
Bev Corbett – Learning Mentor
In Summer and Autumn 2025, Mrs Corbett completed the EP Service’s ELSA training and, with ongoing supervision, has helped shape our ELSA work at Merridale.
Since qualifying, she has introduced a quick‑access referral system, begun delivering ELSA sessions to support pupils’ emotional needs, and trained staff in the approach.
Her work builds on her strengths and is already making a positive impact. Bev’s dedication has been inspiring and is a great addition to our wellbeing support.

Fallings Park Primary School
The Fallings Park PTA led by Mrs Steventon and Miss Beardmore two of our teaching assistants opened the large hall to families of our youngest children to be involved in PUMPKIN PATCH.
Families spent the afternoon carving and decorating pumpkins with their children. The children had a fantastic afternoon with both friends and family.
Thank you to the PTA for all the activities they organise at school. They bring our community together.

Dovecotes Primary School
Thank you to Miss Cespedes and Mrs Batchelor who proudly showcased our Year 1 provision to schools across the city after being recognised by the Local Authority as a centre of excellent practice!
They led a full tour of EYFS and Year 1, sharing how our smooth transition from Reception has set children up for success this year.

Bantock Primary School
Bantock have recently been awarded the Gold Rights Respecting Schools Award by UNICEF – only the second school in Wolverhampton to receive the accolade. This means we have demonstrated that the school has fully embedded children’s rights throughout our school’s policy, practice and ethos. Reception teacher Mrs Rhasina Mirza (aka Rosie) ensured all the necessary evidence was collated and organised for an assessor to visit Bantock in order to see what we have in place, as well as speak to staff and children alike. Well done Rosie for all your hard work enabling us to reach GOLD!
